BHi Compact In-Line DSP module

This compact In-Line DSP noise-canceling module from BHi can be used both portably (with two AA batteries) and at home (with a DC power cable).

Mono and stereo signals:

The lightweight and compact BHI DSP noise cancellation module is made of impact-resistant black ABS plastic, making it suitable for mobile use. The device is easy to set up and accepts both mono and stereo signals at the input, and you can connect headphones or speakers to the output, allowing you to immediately enjoy your listening experience. This intuitive microprocessor-controlled unit features two rotary encoders with push buttons that perform all functions, allowing you to quickly and easily change settings "in real-time" to your current operating conditions.

Audio processing performance

The high-quality and powerful audio processing system and the unique DSP noise reduction algorithm can differentiate speech from noise and interference in the audio signal. This results in clearly intelligible speech under most conditions and works especially well with weak signals.

Connections  
This Compact In-Line module can be powered by a separate 12V DC power supply using the included fused DC power cable (a plug-in DC requires a 2.1mm to 1.3mm adapter plug), or by two (2) AA-Alkaline or NiMH batteries for portable mobile use. Input connections are made via the separate 3.5mm speaker-level and line-level Audio inputs. The output connection can drive stereo headphones, a mono speaker, or a pair of active stereo speakers.

Control of all functions
Microprocessor controlled by two rotary encoders with push buttons. The device can be adjusted "in real-time" to your own noisy conditions. The "Power/Volume" control switches the device on and off and controls the audio volume. The "Filter Level" control adjusts the filter level "in real-time" so you can react quickly to changing conditions. Press the filter button to hear the difference! You can also choose between a single mono signal or stereo mode. The Compact In-Line is especially useful for portable/mobile use, as it can be powered by 2 x AA batteries. The device is suitable for use on all radios and receivers and software-defined radios (SDR), including Elecraft and FlexRadio products.

Audio boost

Why not enhance your reception sound even further and use one of our EQ20 10W parametric equalizer units with your Compact In-Line. Simply connect the "Phones Out" signal to the input of the EQ20 and connect your passive speaker or headphones to the EQ20 output. You can tune your audio to your own hearing. This is especially useful if you suffer from hearing loss.
