Excellent performance for CB communication
The Firestik II FS4 is based on the proven KW series, but offers extra convenience thanks to its adjustable tip. This allows you to easily lower the SWR and ensure optimal signal transmission. The antenna is designed for use on metal surfaces or in combination with a Firestik mounting bracket (grounding required). For even better coverage, it can also be used in a dual (co-phased) configuration on larger vehicles.
Installation and tuning
For the best performance, the Firestik II FS4 antenna must be correctly tuned to its mounting location. This is easily done with the tunable tip: remove the plastic protective cap and turn the adjustment screw up or down to optimize the SWR. A well-tuned antenna provides stronger signals and prevents damage to your CB radio.
Important installation tips
- Grounding required: this antenna must be mounted on a metal surface or bracket for proper operation.
- Remove insulating coatings: when mounting on painted, powder-coated, or anodized surfaces, the coating must be removed for a good electrical connection.
- Use a Firestik Stud Mount: this guarantees a solid and reliable ground connection.
