The FireStik FG2DD is the ideal solution for reliable 27MC communication in vehicles without a metal ground plane (body) . This No Ground Plane (NGP) antenna kit is specifically designed for RVs, boats, plastic vehicles, motorcycles, pickup trucks, agricultural vehicles, and aluminum trucks – situations where a traditional ground plane is lacking or insufficient.
The integrated counterweight in this FireStik kit prevents problems such as high standing wave ratio (SWR) and poor signal quality. The kit includes a 2-foot fiberglass antenna, a high-quality 17-foot FireStik NGP coaxial cable, a stainless steel antenna disk with seal, and a free microphone hook.

Important notes:

- When extending cables, use only RG58 A/U in lengths of 275 cm (multiples)
- After installation, tuning for lowest SWR is necessary for optimal operation

NB:
The Firestik FG series antennas are very similar to the FS series antennas, but the FG series antennas are wound differently and have a different resonant frequency. Therefore, the antenna rods are not interchangeable.
