The FireStik FG2DD is the ultimate solution for reliable 27MHz communication in vehicles that do not have a metal ground plane. This No Ground Plane (NGP) antenna kit is specifically designed for motorhomes, boats, plastic vehicles, motorcycles, pick-up campers, agricultural vehicles, and aluminum trucks – situations where a traditional ground plane is missing or insufficient.
The integrated counterpoise in this FireStik kit prevents problems such as a high standing wave ratio (SWR) and poor signal quality. The kit includes a 61 cm (2 ft) fiberglass antenna, a high-quality 5.2-meter FireStik NGP coaxial cable, a stainless steel antenna disc with seal, and a free microphone hook.

Important Notes:

- After installation, tuning to the lowest SWR is necessary for optimal operation

The Firestik FG-series antennas closely resemble the FS-series antennas, but the FG-series are wound differently and have a different resonant frequency. Therefore, the antenna whips are not interchangeable.
