Advanced antenna technology
The FG4-648 antenna uses high-quality 5/8 wave tuning, similar to the Firestik II series. The core is made of reinforced fiberglass for optimal flexibility and strength. The chrome-plated brass mounting base has a standard 3/8-24 thread and is compatible with all Firestik mounting systems. Thanks to its innovative helix winding and heavily insulated copper wiring, this antenna offers excellent signal transmission and resistance to corrosion.
High-quality Fire Flex coaxial cable
The included 5.2-meter Fire Flex coaxial cable is specially developed for NGP systems. This cable contains a multi-strand core conductor to prevent cable breaks due to vibrations. In addition, double shielding with aluminum tape and a braided copper jacket ensures maximum signal protection. Note: the length of the cable should not be shortened to prevent damage to the system.
Mounting and use
The Firestik FG4-648 NGP KIT comes with a stainless steel 3-way mirror bracket, suitable for mounting on vertical and horizontal tubes or flat surfaces. A heavy-duty stainless steel spring with brass ends acts as a coupling piece between the antenna and the mounting bracket, providing extra flexibility and shock absorption.
Important note:
All CB antennas must be tuned after installation for optimal performance. The Firestik FG series is designed for exclusive use with Firestik NGP coaxial cables. FG series whips are not interchangeable with FS series antennas.
