The updated HamKing SWL-01-25 is the successor to the popular SWL-01 receiving antenna and is now also suitable for QRP HF use . This antenna can handle up to 25 watts of SSB PEP in the 3.5 to 30 MHz frequency range . An antenna tuner may be required for optimal performance.
SWL-01-25 vs SWL-02-25
Besides its improved QRP HF capabilities, the HamKing SWL-01-25 remains an excellent RX wire antenna for the 0.1 to 30 MHz range. Compared to the shorter SWL-02-25, the SWL-01-25 offers better performance at lower frequencies, making it ideal for serious listeners and radio amateurs.
Sustainable construction
The antenna features a 1:9 UnUn core wound on an Amidon toroidal core and is constructed with strong 1.5 mm thick stainless steel cables, with a total length of approximately 16 meters. The PA6 housing and insulators are UV-resistant, making the antenna resistant to various weather conditions and ensuring a long service life.
