The Albrecht 41979 is a separate electret microphone that is suitable for various CB transceivers from Alan and Albrecht , such as the popular Albrecht AE6490 and Albrecht AE6491. The microphone is equipped with a 6-pin connector with GDCH standard wiring , a widely used scheme in Germany in the late 1990s, agreed between brands such as Albrecht and Stabo.
Important compatibility information:
When used on transceivers with 6-pin President wiring, only RX/TX/MOD will work. Up/Down function will not work.
When used on transceivers with 6-pin Midland wiring, the channel selector can be disabled. RX/TX/MOD will continue to function, but Up/Down and channel selection will be disabled.
GDCH wiring:
- Pin 1: Audio / Modulation
- Pin 2: PTT – RX (receiver)
- Pin 3: PTT – TX (transmitter)
- Pin 4: Up / Down
- Pin 5: Ground
- Pin 6: Supply voltage (+10 to 15V)
