The Midland Alan 42 DS is the ultimate portable 27MHz transceiver , with improved electronics for a unique audio experience. This new model is equipped with digital squelch, ANL filters, and noise blanker, eliminating interference from external sources or motor vehicles. The Midland Alan 42 DS has the same features as the Midland 42, with the added ability to select any European band and operate in all EU countries.
The digital squelch is an automatic squelch control that eliminates manual adjustments as it is automatically activated by the received signal. The noise blanker and ANL filters enhance the sound and make it clearer by eliminating interference such as ignition noise. Key features include the EMG function for a direct emergency channel, selectable high and low power (4W/1W), and the SCAN and Dual Watch functions.
