The biggest improvement is the 2800mAh lithium-ion battery, which offers double the lifespan and greater capacity compared to rechargeable AA batteries (1800mAh). The USB-C port makes charging efficient and universal: with a USB-C to USB-C cable (not included) you can achieve a full charge in up to 2 hours, which is ten times faster than with AA batteries. This can be done anywhere, without the need for an electrical outlet. The LED indicators on the model make it easy to monitor charging status and completion.
Thanks to the new power system, the Midland Alan 42 DS Lithium edition is also lighter, weighing just 182 grams, making it ideal to always have on hand.
