Midland AU50 XTREME C1574 external speaker IP67

Clear communication is important, especially when using radio equipment in a vehicle, on the water, or in an environment with a lot of background noise. The Midland AU50 Xtreme is a robust external speaker with a power output of up to 20 watts, designed to reproduce the sound from transceivers, marine radios, and other devices clearly and loudly.

Midland designed the AU50 Xtreme for situations where a standard external speaker is not always sufficient. Its sturdy construction is combined with an IP67 rating, protecting the speaker against dust and water. This makes it ideal for use in demanding conditions, such as in a work vehicle, truck, off-road vehicle, or on board a boat.

Powerful sound up to 20 watts

With a maximum power output of 20 watts, the Midland AU50 Xtreme is designed for situations where you need to hear your radio communication clearly. This is particularly useful when there is a lot of ambient noise, such as while driving, working, or using the radio on the water.

The external speaker can be used with various types of radio equipment. Thanks to the 3.5 mm connection, the AU50 Xtreme is compatible with many transceivers and other devices equipped with a suitable external speaker connection.

Robust IP67 speaker for use on the go and on the water

One of the main advantages of the Midland AU50 Xtreme is the combination of sound output and a robust design. The IP67 rating means that the enclosure provides protection against dust and water. This makes the external speaker suitable for applications where the equipment is exposed to less-than-ideal conditions.

Key features:

• Powerful external speaker with a maximum power output of 20 watts
• IP67-certified and protected against dust and water
• Suitable for 27MC radios, marine radios, UHF/VHF transceivers, and more
• 3.5 mm connection for broad compatibility with suitable radio equipment
• Robust construction for use in vehicles, on the water, and in other demanding environments

What is the Midland AU50 Xtreme used for?

The Midland AU50 Xtreme is a practical addition when your radio's built-in speaker does not provide sufficient volume or clarity. Examples include a 27MC installation in a truck or off-road vehicle, a UHF/VHF transceiver in a commercial vehicle, or a marine radio on board.

A powerful external speaker can also be useful in work environments with engine, wind, or other background noise. Place the AU50 Xtreme in a suitable position in the vehicle or boat so that the sound is directed more effectively toward the driver or user.

With dimensions of 142 × 129 × 110 mm, the speaker remains relatively compact and can be mounted in various locations depending on the available space.

Suitable for various types of radio equipment

The AU50 Xtreme is not intended exclusively for Midland radios. The speaker can be connected to compatible equipment with a suitable 3.5 mm external speaker connection. This allows you to use it with a 27MC radio, marine radio, or UHF/VHF transceiver, among other devices.

Before connecting, always check that your radio's external speaker connection and technical specifications are suitable for the AU50 Xtreme.
