Portable 27MC with AM and FM

The President Randy-3 Plus works within the European 27MHz CB range of 26.965 to 27.405 MHz and features 40 channels. Both AM and FM are supported, with a maximum specified transmit power of 4 watts on AM and 4 watts on FM.

President has also designed the radio to be multiband/multi-standard, with support for ten standards. This makes the portable radio designed for flexible use within the available settings and applicable regulations.

Operation remains clear and straightforward. The multifunctional LCD display shows, among other things, the frequency and S-meter. With the UP/DOWN control, you can quickly change channels, and thanks to separate functions for volume, squelch, and other settings, you can easily adjust the radio to your usage.

IP67 for use on the go

A portable radio must be able to withstand daily use. The President Randy-3 Plus IP67 is therefore equipped with an IP67 rating.

This makes this 27MHz portable radio an interesting choice if you regularly work outdoors or at different locations and find better protection against dust and water important.

With a size of approximately 152 x 66.5 x 37 mm and a weight of about 305 grams including the battery, the Randy-3 Plus remains highly portable.

ASC, squelch, and extensive noise filters

Good intelligibility is at least as important as transmit power. That is why the Randy-3 Plus features various functions that allow you to optimize reception. In addition to manual squelch, President's ASC (Automatic Squelch Control) is present. Furthermore, the portable radio features ANL, Noise Blanker, and HI-CUT filters. CTCSS and DCS are also available, with 38 CTCSS tones and 104 DCS codes.

Much more than just transmitting and receiving

The Randy-3 Plus is extensively equipped. You will find functions such as Scan, Dual Watch, Roger Beep, Beep, programmable EMG 1 and 2 channels, keypad lock, and Eco Mode.

A standard wired Type-S 2-pin 2.5/3.5 mm connection is used for this. Various suitable accessories are available, including the President ACMR405 VOX microphone, ACMR407 speaker microphone, and robust Komunica PWR6201 speaker/microphone. This allows you to adapt the portable 27MC to the way you use it.

From walkie-talkie to mobile 27MC setup

An interesting feature of the Randy series is that you are not limited to using it only with the included portable antenna.

With suitable accessories, the radio can also be used in a mobile configuration or with an external antenna. The President ACMR403SO desktop charging stand, for example, features an SO-239 connection for an external antenna.

Important: remove the portable antenna when using a slide adapter with an external antenna or when using the ACMR403SO with an external antenna. This is also prescribed in the user manual.

The antenna connection on the portable radio itself is TNC-female and the antenna impedance is 50 ohms.
