- Mode 1: Press the PTT button once to peak. Press it a second time to receive a message. To activate this mode: Use a paperclip to press the reset button once, then press and hold the up button = PTT button for 2 seconds. The green LED will flash 3 times and then turn off. Mode 1 is active.
- Mode 2 : Press and hold to talk. Release to receive a message. To activate this mode: Use a paperclip to press the reset button once, then press and hold the DN button (or PTT button) for 2 seconds. The red LED will flash 3 times and then turn off. Mode 2 is now active.
