This version of the Procomm JBC985 features a UHF-Female (SO-239) connector and supports antennas with a 3/8x24 connection. This makes the antenna mount compatible with a large number of mobile CB, HF, and communication antennas.

The sturdy black 9 cm mounting plate provides a stable base, even for larger antennas or intensive use on the road. Thanks to its clever design, the 3/8x24 mounting tube can be easily removed to also mount antennas with a male connection. This makes the antenna mount extra versatile in use.

Installation Guide for the Procomm JBC985-3P Ball Mount

1. Use the included backing plate to mark the mounting holes on the vehicle. Choose a spot where you also have good access from the inside to tighten the nuts.
   
2. Then drill the mounting holes of approximately 3/16" to 1/4". Then determine the center point for the central opening and drill a hole of approximately 1 inch for cable routing and fastening.
   
3. Remove the three 10x32 nuts, bolts, and washers from the antenna mount.
   Then detach the backing plate and rubber seal from the mounting base.
   
4. Place two bolts through the antenna mount and rubber gasket and insert them through the drilled holes in the vehicle.
   
5. On the inside of the vehicle, mount the washers and the two 10x32 nuts.
6. Tighten these securely with a 5/16" wrench.
   
7. Strip approximately 5 cm of the outer jacket of the coax cable and separate the shielding from the inner conductor. Then strip approximately 6 mm of insulation from the inner conductor.
   
8. Use the included connection terminals and attach them by crimping or soldering to both the inner conductor and the shielding of the coax cable.
   
9. Then connect the connectors to the antenna mount:

11. The shielding is connected to the 10x32 bolt of the backing plate.
