Discover this base antenna set consisting of a ProComm PT-99 Proton and a universal ground plane kit. The PT-99 is a high-quality base antenna made of durable fiberglass. This 1/2 wave antenna is ideal for DX use and can be tuned to frequencies between 26 MHz and 30 MHz, making it perfect for the 11 meter 27MHz band and the 10 meter amateur band . This set comes with the ProComm GPK-1 , a universal ground plane kit, which will significantly improve the performance of the PT-99.
The ProComm PT-99 Proton is factory set for the CB band. Standing wave tuning is easy thanks to the two threaded counter rings on the coil. The antenna is constructed of a rugged 4-piece fiberglass construction with hard chrome plated threaded end ferrules, providing extreme weather and UV resistance.
Installation is quick and easy: the antenna can be simply screwed together and secured with locking rings. Two steel U-brackets allow easy side mounting on antenna masts up to 40 mm. For masts of 42-50 mm, the optional Sirio FT-2 side bracket is available.
