The Sigma G5RV Half Size HF wire antenna is a high performance antenna for both transmitting and receiving on the HF amateur bands, covering 40m to 10m . With a total length of 16.2 meters (53ft) this antenna is ideal for situations where space is limited.
Installation and use:
For optimum performance, the antenna should be fed with a high quality 50 Ohm coaxial cable, recommended to be 13.7 meters or 27.4 meters (45 or 90 ft) long . The ribbon cable should hang down and form part of the radiating antenna. Mount the antenna as high as possible, either horizontally or in an inverted V, with the center at least 11 meters (36 ft) from the ground.
