The Sirio MD 118-137 Aviation is a high-performance 1/2 λ dipole antenna with an integrated loaded radial , specifically designed for the VHF aviation band range of 118 to 137 MHz . This antenna is particularly suitable for installation on smaller aircraft, thanks to its compact design and easy mounting without the need for a metal ground plane.
Omnidirectional radiation and linear vertical polarization ensure reliable communication in all directions. The antenna is made of black chrome-plated stainless steel, while all other metal parts are brass or galvanized steel for maximum strength and long life – even in heavy winds of up to 220 km/h.
The MD 118-137 is supplied as standard with 5 meters of RG58 coaxial cable fitted with an FME-Female connector (other connectors available on request).
