About this product
The Aircell 5 from SSB is a flexible coaxial cable of five millimeters thick, suitable for frequencies up to 10 GHz. Thanks to its low attenuation relative to its diameter and the use of standard RG-58 coaxial connectors, this cable is the first choice for wireless LAN applications and various telecommunications applications.
The Aircell 5 has relatively low damping thanks to the low-loss PE-LLC dielectric with a gas content of more than 70%. The material is also resistant to moisture. The solid inner conductor made of oxygen-poor copper (OFC) ensures good conduction. To simultaneously achieve good shielding attenuation with low losses, the outer conductor of Aircell 5 has two layers of copper: a shielding braid with 70% coverage and a thin, overlapping copper foil. The film is PE-coated on the inside and protected against cracking if the bending radius is too small. The black PVC outer sheath of Aircell 5 is UV stabilized.
With an outer diameter of 5 mm, the Aircell 5 is compatible with almost all common coaxial connectors for 5 mm coaxial cables. It is a modern coaxial cable that is suitable for various communication technology applications: relatively flexible, with low attenuation and resistant to interference.
