The GC-7 ground clamp is designed for DC connection on 7 mm coaxial cables such as Aircell 7, Ecoflex 7, and other common coaxial cables with an outer diameter of 7 mm. This clamp eliminates possible voltage differences between the coaxial cable and the ground potential. Especially during thunderstorms, a charge can build up on the antenna or the coaxial cable. This charge is discharged with the ground clamp, thus protecting the connected device. Please note that a ground clamp is not a substitute for lightning protection.
