Important installation instructions:
This cable works with various Windows versions such as 7, XP, 10 and 11.
Attention: Install the USB driver software first before connecting the data cable to your computer. The necessary drivers can be downloaded from www.racescanner.eu.
Note for Windows 10 users:
- If you have not previously experienced any problems using the ARC- ARC-XT, ARC230 and ARC3500 software using the Uniden USB-1 cable before installing Windows 10, this may indicate an older version of the USB-1 cable.
- The USB-1 cables from 2014 have an updated chipset that is fully compatible with Windows 10.
- However, older cables may not work properly with Windows 10. The difference between old and new cables is not visually noticeable.
Technical details
The Uniden USB-1 is often referred to as a "programming cable". Technically, however, it functions as a USB-to-serial bridge (external UART).
