The Yaesu G-5500DC is an advanced azimuth and elevation rotor designed for precise positioning of medium sized unidirectional satellite antenna systems. This rotor set is ideal for satellite communications and EME (moon-bounce) applications where reliable and precise antenna steering is essential.
Perfect control over Azimuth and Elevation
The Yaesu G-5500DC offers simultaneous control of both azimuth (450° rotation ) and elevation (180° rotation ), making this set ideal for satellite tracking and other space communications projects. The rotors can be mounted on a mast as a combined unit or placed separately, for example with the azimuth rotator in a tower and the elevation rotator on a rotating tube.
Durable and weather resistant
The rotator is made of melamine resin-coated cast aluminum, which guarantees maintenance-free operation in all weather conditions. The innovative clamshell design uses 98 heavy-duty double ball bearings (7/16 inch) , which distribute the load over the entire diameter and minimize wear. In addition, the design prevents water infiltration, which significantly extends the service life.
NOTE: The required 2x 6-core control cables (azimuth + elevation) are not included.

Compatibility and connections
The Yaesu G-5500DC works with 22V DC control motors , unlike older models that run on 26V AC. This makes old AC controllers incompatible with the new DC motors and vice versa. The control cables (6-wire per motor) are not included and must be purchased separately.
