The CGA ACC-101 combines various connections in one cable set. The set features a DIN-4 connector for RTTY data, a DIN-5 connector for Packet data, a DB9 COM connector for CAT control via RS232, and a 1/4 inch connector for CW.
This makes the cable suitable for various functions supported by the SB-2000MK2. These include CAT control of the transceiver, PTT, FSK and CW-keying, and working with digital modes such as RTTY, PSK, SSTV, and FAX.
The SB-2000MK2 uses your computer's sound card. Good to know: the SB-2000MK2 itself does not contain a sound card. The interface connects to an existing sound card in the computer.

The CGA SB-2000MK2 features built-in conversion from RS232 to USB. This allows transceivers with an RS232 interface to be used via the SB-2000MK2 with a modern USB connection on the computer. For CAT control, a maximum speed of 19,200 baud is supported.
The Mk2 version also offers two virtual serial ports. This allows functions to be distributed: one virtual port can be used for PTT and CW/FSK, while the other remains available for CAT control. This is practical for software that cannot process these functions via the same serial port.
The signals of the SB-2000MK2 are optically or transformer-isolated, and the interface is powered via the computer's USB connection.
