The Diamond SE50 is a slim, robust 2-meter marine VHF/UHF antenna specifically designed for use on ships, yachts, and other marine applications. Unlike the well-known “X” series, this antenna has no radials – ideal for deck applications where snagging of ropes and equipment is essential.
With a frequency range of 144–146 MHz (2m) and 430–440 MHz (70cm), the SE50 is perfect for HAM use on the water. The housing is made of fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) and protects the internal radiator from salt , wind, and moisture . The chrome-plated brass mounting tube is permanently connected to the boom, and all mounting hardware is either stainless steel or has a protective coating – ensuring years of service, even in salty environments.
Thanks to its slim, radial-free design, the SE50 is also ideally suited for land use where you need an unobtrusive and weatherproof antenna, for example at outdoor stations or in demanding environments.
