The Firestik II FS5 is a high-quality 27MHz antenna of 154 cm (5ft) with an adjustable tip, allowing you to easily optimize the SWR. This model builds on the proven performance of the Firestik KW series but adds the unique Tuneable Tip adjustment mechanism. This ensures broadband coverage and stable SWR across multiple channels.
Thanks to its top-loaded coil, the Firestik FS5 offers excellent signal strength, ideal for use on cars, trucks, motorcycles, vans, and off-road vehicles. The antenna requires a metal ground plane or a Firestik mounting bracket for optimal performance. Also suitable for dual (co-phase) installations.

Installation and tuning
The Firestik FS5 antenna must be tuned after mounting. This is easily done by hand-adjusting the Tuneable Tip. This model performs best on a metal vehicle or a metal bracket that serves as a ground. For powder-coated or painted surfaces, the mounting area should be stripped bare for good conductivity.
The Firestik II FS5 is available in four colors: black, white, red, and blue.

To maintain a balance between flexibility and robustness, Firestik uses a custom, fiberglass-blended, reinforced shaft.
