The best way to protect your antenna and car from low hanging branches, low passages or other situations is to mount a Firestik spring at the bottom of your antenna. This spring has 3/8 x 24 thread and therefore also fits at the bottom of a Firestik safety flag.
The spring makes the antenna or safety flag even more flexible and moves with the movement without immediately snapping or tearing. This heavy duty spring is an extra strong version that is suitable for antennas and safety flags with a length of up to 152 cm.
