The HW20V is constructed from cold-drawn AW6063-T66 aluminum , a high-quality alloy that ensures exceptionally strong and precise tubing. All mechanical parts are CNC machined for a perfect fit, minimal play, and maximum strength.
The mounting is completely stainless (AISI 304 and 316) , making this antenna resistant to corrosion and wear for years to come – even in challenging outdoor conditions.
Smart LC tuning system for optimal performance
With an end-fed 1/2-wave antenna, correctly matching the high impedance is crucial. Therefore, Grazioli designed an advanced parallel LC circuit with an air-wound high-Q coil and a precisely adjustable coaxial capacitor (similar to Gamma Match ). The system is equipped with PTFE insulation and can withstand voltages up to 40 kV , preventing heat generation and RF loss.
The coil is also directly DC grounded , which contributes to a quieter signal by suppressing atmospheric noise.
