The Komunica BM-1 is a robust open magnetic mount with a diameter of 120 mm, intended for mounting suitable professional antennas and other compatible applications on a metal surface. This OPEN version is deliberately supplied without coaxial cable and without a connector. This gives you more freedom to use the magnetic mount for a suitable application.
On the underside, the Komunica BM-1 is equipped with rubber protection. This forms a protective layer between the magnetic mount and the metal surface on which you place it.
An interesting additional possibility is the use of this magnetic mount in combination with a Firestik ST4 adapter (stud mount). With this, the BM-1 can also be used for mounting suitable Firestik safety flags with 3/8x24 thread.
What is the Komunica BM-1?
The Komunica BM-1 is an open magnetic mounting base with a diameter of 12 cm. Thanks to its magnetic construction, you can place the base on a suitable metal surface without having to make a permanent installation.
The designation OPEN means that this version does not have a connecting cable or connector. The BM-1 is therefore supplied as a magnetic mount without a coaxial cable.
This makes the magnetic mount interesting if you want to assemble a suitable mounting solution yourself or if you want to use the mount for an application where a coaxial cable is not needed.
Can be combined with the Firestik ST4 adapter
A convenient application of the Komunica BM-1 is its combination with the Firestik ST4 adapter. In the middle of the underside of the magnetic mount there is a recess, allowing the bolt of the ST4 adapter to be mounted.
The top of the Firestik ST4 adapter has a female 3/8x24 connection. This creates a mounting point to which a suitable accessory with 3/8x24 thread can be attached.
This way, you can turn this open magnetic mount into a practical magnetic mounting solution without having to make a permanent attachment in the vehicle or metal surface.
Suitable for Firestik safety flags
The combination of the Komunica BM-1 and Firestik ST4 adapter is particularly interesting for mounting suitable Firestik safety flags with a 3/8x24 threaded connection.
This can be practical, for example, if you want to temporarily place a safety flag on a suitable metal surface and want to be able to remove the mount later.
Please note: the Firestik ST4 adapter and safety flag are not listed as part of the Komunica BM-1 magnetic mount and should, if desired, be purchased separately.
