The 27MC world is buzzing: according to initial reports, the renowned French brand President Electronics is working on a completely new 27MC transceiver with SSB, expected to launch in late spring 2026 and called the Jack-2. Note: The specifications below are based on preliminary information and rumors. Final specifications and official images will follow as soon as President Electronics publishes them.
What do we already know? This promises to be a particularly interesting 27MC transceiver for both the serious driver and the avid base station user.
Modern 27MC transceiver for the demanding user
This new President transceiver is expected to combine AM, FM, and SSB in an ultra-thin design – ideal for modern vehicles where installation space is increasingly limited. The model is expected to feature a large, bright display that clearly shows frequency information. A significant advantage for those who want quick and easy switching while on the road.

Expected performance and functionality
Based on current information, this model is expected to have a frequency range of 26.965–27.405 MHz, 40 channels, and a power output of 4W in AM/FM. SSB support is also expected, making this 27MC transceiver particularly attractive for long-distance communication.
The preliminary feature list suggests a very comprehensive setup, including multi-standard support (for use in multiple countries), Dual Watch, scan function, VOX, RF gain, and mic gain. Noise suppression also appears to be well-represented with NRC (noise reduction circuit), ANL, and NB (noise blanker), supplemented by Hi-Cut for extra clear audio.
